Throughout the calendar year, Fresh Start hosts between six and seven weekends, during which volunteers perform reconstructive procedures at the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.

Fresh Start provides more than just one-time treatments. The average reconstruction patient requires close to 49 procedures to achieve a functional and aesthetically pleasing outcome. For this program and its treatments to be effective, doctors and their patients must create bonds that last several years.
